RECYCLING

MCC Material Resource Center believes that we each have responsibility for caring for our world.  Providing opportunities for recycling are being developed.  Currently, recycling of discarded  cloth is done through creating cleaning cloths from unusable items.  Volunteers trim cotton material and make bundles of wiping or cleaning cloths which are offered for sale to individuals or businesses.  Funds from this sale assists of items assists in meeting the operating budget of the MRC.

Books are currently received for recycling.  School books that are no longer used in the school systems are gathered.  Some are sold for home school use.  Others are sent to schools lacking instructional materials.  Any that can not be used are sold for recycling

As new facilities provide more working space, it is anticipated that more recycling of items will be implemented.

Please note that the MCC Material Resource Center is now receiving corrugated cardboard for recycling.  Only corrugated cardboard is being accepted.  Cardboard may be delivered to the rear dock during regular hours of operation.
